November 26 (participants arriving) Majority of foreign (not local)
participants of the event should arrive on the 26th of
November. Most of the work on accommodation and registration of the
participants will be done during this day.
Forum participants registration begins from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m. in the
halls of hotels and will continue next day (from 8:20 a.m. till 4 p.m.
in the hall of «Ukrainian House» Center).
Places of registration will be equipped with special signs. During registration
Forum participants will receive a package of working documents and information
materials (city map, information on organizers, on places of entertainment,
etc.).
To facilitate participants adaptation and to solve any organizational
problems representatives of the Working Group will be on duty in the places
where participants stay.
All participants that arrive earlier than it was determined should inform
about time and place of their arriving one week before the beginning of
the event.
Organizers will provide foreign participants with transportation from
the place of their arriving to the hotel.

November, 27 (session meetings)
First day of Forum work includes session meetings. Holding session meetings
at the beginning of Forum work will:
be very helpful for NGO representatives and other participants because
they will have an opportunity to know all donor and state organizations
dealing with NGO problems in Ukraine;
give leading Ukrainian and foreign patrons (entrepreneurs - representatives
of the second sector) an opportunity to announce their attitude and motivation
regarding problems and needs to support NGO projects;
give state structures an opportunity to receive «directly»
complex information on «third sector» and its important problems,
and to get information about possibility to increase activity of international
financial and donor organizations in Ukraine;
provide donor organizations with an opportunity to form effective priorities
of their future activity based on obtained actual information; help participants
to adapt for new work with representatives of other fields;
become a beginning of using a practice of «corporate» principle
in realization of important (large) projects; support
development of cooperation between NGO and organizations that represent
other fields of activity;
allow to reach the most efficient results of working groups’ meetings
based on collected information.
Session meetings will take place in the large hall of «Ukrainian
House» Center. Premises of the Center have several advantages:
they have convenient geographic location;
they correspond to prestige and level of the event;
they are in the heart of the city, in its historical part;
they are convenient in terms of transportation that, in its turn, should
increase interest of public and mass-media;
they ensure optimal combination of organizational requirements and expenses:
it allows to economize on transportation of the participants;
it satisfies all organizational requirements (number and quality of
rooms and halls, communication, service, etc.
Session meetings will be divided into several blocks based on different
groups of participants:
first block: speeches and greetings of Honorable Guests and other eminent
persons (duration 1 hour);
second block: speeches and presentations of all donor organizations’
and embassies’ representatives (duration 3 hours);
third block: speeches of patrons, representatives of entrepreneurial
structures dealing with social problems (duration 1 hours).
fourth block:
speeches of representatives of famous public organizations and presentations
of their projects (duration 1.5 hours).
During the time of session meetings representatives of the Working Group
will provide refreshment (coffee, tea, etc.) in
specified rooms.
All speakers will get recommended plan of speeches, which you can find
enclosed. Detailed list of speakers will be formed during the process of
the event organization.
Moderators from the same category of participants will be determined
for each block of speeches. Participants registration will continue during
this day: it begins at 8:30 a.m. in the hall of «Ukrainian House»
Center and ends at 4 p.m.
An important element of the Forum will be an open exhibition - presentation
of participating organizations.
It begins at 2 p.m. in the hall of «Ukrainian House» Center.
The form of the action organization corresponds to traditional
industrial or other similar exhibitions, however, it is an unprecedented
event in the practice of NGO activity.
On the exhibition in the hall of «Ukrainian House» Center
fifty «2x2 sq.m.» stands will be established, where all donor
organizations (funds, charitable organizations, embassies’ grant programs,
etc.) and part of leading NGO will demonstrate their achievements, program
documents, and perspectives of their work. The exhibition will be open
to public. It is expected that number of visitors, given broad information
campaign, may exceed dozens of thousand people. Large number of people
will be able to watch the exposition on TV.
Organization of the exhibition will help to reach considerable informational
effect in explaining role and main points of donor and public organizations
activity. It will demonstrate their practical achievements; it will popularize
in the most efficient way the ideas of development of public sector and
civil society in general. The main advantage of this form of information
presentation is visual demonstration of purpose and effectiveness of NGO
activity in society.
The exhibition will be open till the end of Forum work. After the end
of Forum official part at 8 p.m. there will be a reception for Honorable
Guests, organizers, representatives of donor organizations and public organizations
- Forum participants (almost 100 people) . The reception will take form
of celebration with performance of the famous signing group «Pikardijska
tertsija».

Reception 8 p.m. November 28 (working meetings) Second day of Forum
work will take form of working meetings where
participants will discuss the most vital problems that are in the center
of attention of all three sectors: state, public, and
commercial. All Forum participants can take part in any working meeting
based on the chosen topic. Personal applications to participate in a certain
working meeting should be furnished before the beginning of Forum work.
During this day six working meetings will take place. Each participant
will have chance to take part in two meetings because six meetings will
be held in two stages with three-meetings simultaneously. A moderator,
determined by the Organizing Committee, will organize work of each meeting.
Topic and contents of each meeting will be determined during organizational
preparation.
During a short break between the first and the second stages of working
meetings representatives of the Working Group will provide refreshment
(coffee, tea, etc.) in specified rooms. Topic of the working meetings will
reflect the most vital problems of activity and cooperation of Forum participants
regarding support of public organizations’ activity. Topic of the meetings
will be determined by the Organizing Committee in the process of Forum
organization based on the analysis of propositions of all participants.
During the second part of the day Forum participants will meet again
in the session hall to make decisions, announcements, and declarations
of the Forum. At the same time exhibition of participating organizations
will be open, it closes at 6 p.m. At the end of the day foreign guests
and participants of the event will have an excursion trip in Kiev. A trip
in a comfortable boat along Dnipro river will end this excursion.
The culture program should establish friendly relations between participants,
expand their communication in informal
environment, and should demonstrate everlasting beauty of ancient Kyiv.
