On behalf of all the Ukrainian Peacekeepers and UKRAINIAN PEACEKEEPERS 
VETERANS ASSOCIATION congratulates You with the 50th Anniversary of UN Peacekeeping Operations and creation of the UN Military Observers Corps.  
 UKRAINIAN PEACEKEEPERS VETERANS ASSOCIATION  have close contacts with peacekeepers from different countries.

We are a member of SOLDIERS OF PEACE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION(SPIA).
  
We works in close co-operations  with  MoD , National Security Council , Government, Parliament (parliamentarians) , Administration  of President of Ukraine . 
Now, Ukrainian and soldiers other nationalities
serving for PEACE together in Bosnia and in other regions, taken active part in PFP Programs , and  we want to expancions our  co-operations.
We have interest to organize together with Foreign partners Special Tourist
Program  for military-civilians in visiting UKRAINE and Russia with tourist aim (MOSCOW,KIEV,LVIV,ODESSA,SEVASTOPOL ).
  
We have close contacts with UN(UNDP)-office in Kiev .

THE HISTORY OF UKRAINIAN PEACEKEEPING, UPVA 

July 3, 1992 the parlament of Ukraine has accepted the resolution on 
creation 240 separate special batalion and transfer it under UN command , 
July 15, 1992  240 ssb -UKRBAT-1 has arrived in Sarajevo (UNPROFOR).  
July 6 , 1998 we had meeting in this occassion. 

We are planning to take part in International Peacekeeping Veterans Meeting 
in Lion , France on 13 - 17 september (SPIA/FNAME). 

UPVA Annual General Meeting to be held in Kiev on the 24 of October 1998.  

On 18th May 1995 we had first contact with SPIA/FNAME(Lyon,France). 

1-st International Assembly of Blue Berets  

1-st International Assembly of Blue Berets '' 50  years of UN '' was held 
by SOLDIERS OF PEACE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION/FRANCH FEDERATION NATIONALE 
DES MISSIONS EXTERIERES on 19-22 nd May 1995 . 
In Assembly take part representatives from UN-Veterans Associations in 
Denmark,Ireland,Finland,France,Norway,Sweden . 
2-nd International Assembly(MEETING) of Blue Berets  

2-nd International Assembly(MEETING) of Blue Berets will be held in 12-16 
September of this year in Lion,France. 
The main theme of the Second Gathering of the Blue Helmets will be: 
'' 50  years of Peacekeeping and its future''. 
It will last three  days and we give below the agenda of this event: 
Friday:Welcoming of the participants. 
Saturday:Aftrnoon:Conference 
Evening:Diner and Reception in Town Hall 
Sunday:Ceremony in memory of all past Blue Helmets. 
Afternoon:Visit of the town 
Monday:Visit of the United Nations HQ in Geneva and Work Session.
